EXTRAVAGANCE AT THE 112TH U.S. OPEN POLO CHAMPIONSHIP® FINAL IN WELLINGTON, FLORIDATime:2017-02-18 Ecstatic atmosphere, cheering crowd, galloping horses, talented polo players, flowing dresses, pretty bowties, fancy brunch and delicious smell of the Asado from the tailgating tents – this could only be a polo tournament, the 112th U.S. Open Polo Championship® final to be specific. An annual extravaganza that commemorates the end of the high-goal polo season in Wellington, Florida, took place on April 24, 2016, at the charming International Polo Club Palm Beach grounds. Two polo teams, Orchard Hill and Dubai, with some of the world’s best polo players came together to compete for the winning title. After an intense and exhilarating play, Orchard Hill took the trophy, scoring a winning goal during overtime, ending at 13-12. Back in March, we hosted a sweepstakes, giving away the ultimate experience for the 112th U.S. Open Polo Championship® final. Meet Pauline Myrie of West Palm Beach, Florida, our winner! Pauline, along with her husband, Len Myrie, and sister, Beverly Downes, had the opportunity to attend the U.S. Open Polo Championship® final at the International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington as special guests of the United States Polo Association and U.S. Polo Assn. Our winners were treated to a Sunday brunch, meet–and-greet with USPA officials and overnight accommodations in Wellington. Congratulations to our winners! |
